Residential Elevators

An elevator extends the years a family can stay in the home they built.

Quiet retrofits, enclosed-glass cabs, hillside installations — we plan and build residential elevators that integrate cleanly with the home that surrounds them. The result is not just access. It is the unbroken rhythm of daily life.

  • 01

    Stay in place, gracefully

Owners with limited mobility — including wheelchair users — remain safely in the home they know, on every floor, for the long term.

  • 02

    A practical investment

The cost of an elevator is typically a fraction of the recurring expense of independent living or skilled nursing care.

  • 03

    Lasting resale value

A residential elevator measurably increases a home's resale value and shortens its time on the market when the day comes to sell.

No. 01  /  Discreet Retrofit

Temple Hills, Laguna Beach

Relocating the front door opened the floor plan enough to integrate the elevator without disrupting the home's original character.

A single geometric trade — one entry moved, one wall reframed — with an outsized effect on daily life. The cab tucks against the new entry and reads as native to the architecture.

No. 02  /  Enclosed Glass

Mystic Hills, Laguna Beach

An aging cab was replaced with a fully enclosed glass elevator that opens onto a clear view of the Pacific from every landing.

What had been a piece of utilitarian equipment became a daily ritual. Glass on three sides; the structure of the home reads through the cab itself.

No. 03  /  Aging in Place

North Laguna Beach

A textbook aging-in-place install: modest remodel scope, immediate impact on independence.

The owners considered moving. Instead, a contained scope of work added the lift they needed and let them stay where they had lived for decades — on every floor, comfortably and safely.

No. 04  /  The “Impossible” Install

Mystic Hills, Laguna Beach

Multiple contractors had told the homeowners the installation was impossible. We took the brief, found a path through the structure, and delivered the finished cab.

Difficult framing, a tight footprint, and an unforgiving floor plan. The finished elevator looks inevitable in the space — which is usually the truest sign that the work was hard.
